API
SPR# MYUA4DAM6L, JBLY4CVM5V - Lotus now includes NSFDbFTSizeGet in the SDK.
[5.0.3]
Workaround:
For releases prior to 4.6.7 and 5.0.3, the only programmatic way to determine
the size of the .FT folders is to use Notes to call an external Windows API.
The FileSystemObject can only be used to access local full text folders.
Note: The sample scripts below are provided to illustrate one way to approach
this issue. In order for these examples to perform as intended, the scripts
must be laid out exactly as indicated below. Notes Support will not be able to
customize these scripts for a customer's own configuration.
The following sample uses LotusScript to extract the size of the folder via OLE
automation:
Dim session As New NotesSession
Dim db As NotesDatabase
Dim fs, f, s As Variant
Set db = session.GetDatabase( "", "help\readme.nsf" )
Dim pathname As String
If db.IsFTIndexed Then
Set fs = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
'replace the .nsf by .ft so that we can get .FT folder name
pathname=Left(db.filepath, Len(db.filepath)-4) + ".ft"
Set f = fs.GetFolder(pathname)
s = Ucase(f.Name) & " uses " & f.Size & " bytes."
Messagebox s
End If More >
